i made it

it's FINALLY here...

summertime and senior year
could life get any better?

Summertime will be quite busy for me.

  1. Cheerleading practice
  2. Cheerleading Camp (June 3-6)
  3. Girl's State (June 6-12)
  4. Yearbook Camp
  5. i'm sure something else will come along
Oh, I must mention I have summer school work. Since I have decided to take three college courses next year, for my Duel Enrollment English class I have three books to read. AP Environmental Science will provide some reading and research while I'm having fun in the sun. Senior project....I'm already tired of hearing those two words. HOPEFULLY, I can get an externship at a law firm this summer to start my project. (At least, that's my goal)

I would like to say this is my last summer "together" with my friends. Next summer will be all about good-byes and getting ready for college. I can't wait to spend time with them and make summer 2010 the best yet.

My goals for this summer...
  1. Read at least three books, not including my summer reading.
  2. Complete my Beth Moore bible study
  3. Run consistently!
  4. Spend time with more friends
  5. To be EXTREMELY tan
  6. Apply to UTK (I can on August 1st!)
  7. Go on vacation somewhere new
  8. Finish all of summer work on time
  9. To make a list with Kalyn for our senior year :)
  10. laugh, love, live more
i wish i could think of some better goals, but those will do for now

p.s. my birthday is in eleven days, i can't wait!

until we meet again,

sitting in the library

it's so sad...
i'm already becoming an obsessed blogger.
but one of my many obsessions is bubble shooter.

Kalyn Helton just had to get me started on it! So now since AP English is now over with Kalyn, Ashton, and I are sneaking off to the library telling the librarian we are "searching for colleges" when we are really playing intense bubble shooter.

it just needs to be summer...
only three more classes to go!

i will now return to my intense game of bubble shooter
until we meet again,
trd :)

the best is yet to come

Junior year...

How to describe this year?

At the end of my sophomore year, I knew this year would be extremely challenging. Between taking all AP and honors courses, I managed to have a life. I have learned so much about myself this year. Listening to Taylor Swift's song "Fifteen," one line especially stands out to me....

"In your life you'll do things greater than dating the boy on the football team, I didn't know it at fifteen..."

This line basically sums up my junior year. My first two years of high school, I thought being in the "in" crowd and having the boy of your dreams would make your life perfect. Well, we all know this is not reality! Happiness starts with accepting the person you are. This year I have experienced love, heart break, happiness, joy, sorrow, tears, laughter...every emotion you could imagine! Some days I felt like giving up, but in the end, I do not regret anything that has happened to me this year...it is all for a purpose.

Memories.....

By the way, I made this run-thru sign above. My FAVORITE one of the season. So many ups and downs in life came with football season. Being the head football coach's daughter, I see many behind the scene deals. This football season has been the most memorable yet. Cheering on the sidelines for my dad has been incredible.

Standing beside these eleven girls on Friday nights made cheering the mighty Lions even more worth it :)

Youth Leadership Chattanooga.
I love this group.
Period.
It has made me a better leader in the community and school, I would be no where without this group.

my friends
these people have been my rock this year.
amazing times, laughs, and tears...we've been through it all.

you meet people at unexpected times.
this girl came at an unexpected time, she has been very dear to me ever since.
i thought i had the best group of friends any girl could ask for...but she made it even more complete.

my parents
i could not ask God for a better pair

With junior year being over in only a day and a half, I realize time moves so quickly. I will be a senior on Wednesday a little before nine o'clock in the morning. Junior year has made me a stronger woman. I know I can tackle anything in this world. Life is not about your status in society...no one is going to remember you for that. People remember you by the difference you make in this world. So many people this year have made a difference in my life. I hope and pray I can do this in years to come. Senior year will bring many changes, I can't wait to see where life takes me.

Until we meet again,
trd :)
